Station 7, First Sector - Sprink Meets Aori

         Today I am studying the infamous little Sprink again. Sprink has calmed down quite a bit in the last few weeks; less stalking and more cleaning it seems. He seems to be focusing on one of the other flutters, a Papilia Pup named Aori. Aori is a k9 branch of fluttertail, his colors flow nicely with Sprink's. He reminds me of a crystal clear waterfall of brilliance. Strong, noble, and wise, he seems to be the leader of his pack.
         The fact that Sprink has taken an interest in a whole other branch of flutter both confuses and amazes me. Not only is his affection seemingly misdirected, it tends to be all over the map. But none the less we've seen him on numerous occasions stalking the young flutter pup Aori. Aori doesn't seem to mind; he thinks the little buck is silly and rarely pays him much mind.
         Sprink is on edge as of late. Aori has been sick and has spend most his days in his area he calls home. Sprink tried keeping in touch but the flutter pups have been very territorial and have barked him out every time he made an advance into their territory. Aori's tall red tree is practically in the middle of the jumbled masses of territorial pups; so Sprink has to hover as high as he can above their little nests to get to Aori. He doesn't think it's too big of a deal; he does this every other day to check up on him. Being so little he can surpass the big flutters and most of them can't fly very high or very long because of their sizes, so he makes that long hard trip whenever he can.
        Sprink has watched over Aori for two days before he noticed a nearby pup that seemed to visit Aori every day with flowers. Her coloring was light pink and it was very obvious she was beautiful, all the male pups watched her as she made her way down the path every day. Sprink would hide in the treetop until she left, but he knows she's pretty and he seems to hate it. Sprink doesn't know this but it's believed that this pup, "Priscilla", is an older friend of Aori. She isn't known to be a potential mate. This info was provided by the rangers at Ranger Station Six, in the first sector.
        So again Sprink has his emotions bundled up with yet another flutter he can't have; sooner or later he might figure to follow one of the other does that have been giving him sideways glances. But until then Aori has his undivided attention. It is frowned upon, but there has been talk about matching up someone with him. A safe capture, mate and release so he might have a chance of finally finding a partner since he seems to be absent natural instincts. Some of the rangers think it is wrong. Personally I would like to see Aori bagged with him to see how they would react in a mating hold. But until we reach a decision, I believe it's all up in the air.
